Senior DevOps Platform Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

Colliers is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Platform Engineer for its newly established Technology Hub in Madrid. You will join the founding team that shapes the hub's culture, practices and technical direction, working in a hybrid model (remote and onsite). The role focuses on container technologies, cloud-native architecture and automation, and involves designing, scaling and evolving the platform that powers the engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms (AKS, GKE) focused on scalability, multitenancy and global reliability.
• Own container lifecycle practices, including build pipelines, registries, vulnerability scanning and runtime policies.
• Lead Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (Terraform/OpenTofu) and optimize CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads.
• Implement GitOps best practices, advanced deployment strategies and self-service tools for engineering teams.
• Set security standards for containers (RBAC, secrets management, admission controllers, scanning) and embed compliance controls with Information Security.
• Build observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Datadog) and support test-first development and production issue resolution.
• Advise engineering leadership on platform and DevOps strategy and collaborate with international Product, Engineering, Data, QA and Architecture teams.

Required profile

• 5-8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform or cloud engineering, with a focus on containers and distributed systems.
• Proven track record designing, operating and scaling development platforms in multi-team settings.
• Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) and experience in distributed or remote teams.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Kubernetes, Docker and enterprise-scale container orchestration.
• GCP and Azure, including networking, IAM, storage and monitoring.
• Terraform and automation frameworks.
• Jira, GitHub, Miro and Azure DevOps.
• Preferred: service mesh, multi-cloud strategies, FinOps, and observability tools such as Sentry and Lighthouse.
