Senior Financial Product Data Analyst

About the role

seQura, a Barcelona-based fintech providing payment technologies for merchants and consumers, is hiring a Senior Financial Product Data Analyst. The role owns the link between how Finance works, the KPIs it tracks and the decisions they drive, turning that understanding into reliable, self-service data products. It sits within a team of four Analytics Engineers, reporting to the Head of Data.

Key responsibilities

• Learn seQura's Finance domain deeply, from pricing and provisioning to servicer settlement and product profitability.
• Design and build production-grade data products: dbt models on Redshift, documented and tested, plus Metabase dashboards and self-service datasets.
• Partner with Finance stakeholders to turn complex financial and regulatory processes into robust, auditable data models.
• Validate and reconcile outputs such as servicer reports, provisioning runs and amortisation tables.
• Chase data quality issues back to their source with Data Engineering.
• Help close the revenue gap between operational systems and the data warehouse and improve Finance models for defaults and amortisation.
• Present findings and new data products to Finance leadership, and contribute to Data & AI governance (metadata, documentation, data catalog).

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer.
• Fluent English.
• Nice to have: fintech, lending or BNPL experience; knowledge of provisioning, amortisation, EIR or IFRS 9; experience presenting data products to Finance or executives.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on SQL.
• Practical dbt experience, including data modeling, testing and documentation.
• Metabase (or equivalent BI platform) for dashboards and self-service data products.
• Nice to have: Python, Airflow, OpenMetadata.
