Senior FullStack Engineer (Java, Spring Boot, React/Angular)

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for a Senior FullStack Engineer in Madrid to design, develop and test software modules that integrate smoothly into complex systems. The role combines deep technical expertise with close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate within a cross-functional, agile team.
• Own the full software delivery lifecycle: design, implement, deploy, release and monitor applications.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions by working with colleagues across different divisions of the bank.
• Work alongside Solution Architects to design software solutions aligned with the bank's architecture vision.
• Take part in internal Software Engineering communities by sharing knowledge and supporting peers.
• Review pull requests and deliver code that follows the bank's engineering guidelines and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent proven experience.
• Minimum of seven years of Java development experience and three years of frontend/full-stack experience.
• Solid understanding of client pricing and core banking systems.
• Proven experience with test-oriented development (TDD, BDD) and automated testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment concepts.
• English at C1 level with fluent business use; experience with AI-assisted coding tools is a plus.
