Senior Fullstack Engineer - Trip Management

About the role

Exoticca, an online travel agency focused on long-distance dream trips, is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer for its Trip Management System. The team builds the systems that turn destinations, itineraries, flights, hotels and pricing strategies into structured, sellable travel products, so that travel specialists can design journeys at scale. The role works across PHP, Node.js and modern AI tooling, choosing the right approach for each problem.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve systems that let travel specialists design, configure and launch complex travel products at scale, keeping product configuration flexible, accurate and scalable.
• Develop capabilities for smart departures, pricing strategies, booking breakdowns, payments, refunds and wallet flows, safeguarding financial correctness from configuration through checkout and post-booking.
• Build internal platforms and tools for Product, Finance and Operations, and increase reliability and reduce manual work in calendar management, flight configuration and payments.
• Use data to validate assumptions, measure business impact and shape product decisions, not just implement tickets.

Required profile

• Strong problem-solving mindset and comfort with ambiguous problems.
• Highly effective use of AI in daily work (coding, debugging, designing, analyzing, automating).
• Product-oriented thinking and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures and CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub Actions or similar).
• Familiarity with unit and integration testing, observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) and clean architecture principles.
