Senior GL Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant to own full‑cycle accounting for multiple international entities. You will bridge local compliance with group‑wide reporting, drive tax compliance across jurisdictions, and champion process automation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes for several group entities, ensuring accurate financial statements.
• Prepare consolidated reporting packages and lead audit support, including documentation and liaison with auditors.
• Own tax compliance (VAT, GST, TVA, sales & use tax, withholding) across various jurisdictions and coordinate with external advisors.
• Oversee day‑to‑day GL functions, including inter‑company reconciliations, payroll entries and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Support ERP setup for new subsidiaries and ensure seamless accounting integration.
• Identify accounting incidents, contribute to automation, and standardise procedures across the group.
• Maintain rigorous documentation to support transactions, audits and regulatory filings.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Senior GL Accountant or Accounting Specialist in multi‑entity environments.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with finance teams and external advisors.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Solid experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of SAGE X3, Power BI or Lucanet (preferred).
