Senior Hybrid Powertrain Project Manager

About the role

Horse Technologies, a division of Horse Powertrain, is looking for a Senior Hybrid Powertrain Project Manager to lead the life‑cycle development of hybrid systems. You will be responsible for improving quality, reducing costs, and delivering high‑performance hybrid powertrains across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead serial life development of hybrid powertrain components (gearbox, electric motor, power electronics, control modules, software, calibration, battery) to achieve quality improvements and cost reductions.
• Manage project milestones and ensure achievement of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Performance (QCDP) objectives.
• Prepare monthly quality and economics synthesis reports.
• Develop a rolling three‑year roadmap for cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Oversee design, development, validation, and industrialisation of hybrid systems, monitoring performance metrics such as fuel efficiency, emissions, drivability and NVH.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams—including design, purchasing, prototyping, process, manufacturing, supply chain, tuning, and customer performance—to meet project targets.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the development cycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in hybrid powertrain development, especially PWT tuning and software/system integration.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
• Strong technical background in engine software, calibration, and system design.
• Proven experience managing engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage economic aspects (CAPEX, OPEX) of projects.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis, and decision‑making presentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment.
