Senior People Generalist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior People Generalist to join a remote‑first, globally distributed organization based in Spain. This hands‑on HR professional will blend advisory work with managers and employees while owning People Operations and systems across the full employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted partner for managers and employees, ensuring strong operational foundations for the People function.
• Partner with managers on employee relations, coaching, team dynamics, and performance conversations.
• Support the Head of People on complex cases and independently handle standard employee‑relations matters.
• Own end‑to‑end People Operations including onboarding, offboarding, HR systems, compliance, and benefits administration.
• Introduce automation, AI tools, and scalable processes to improve People workflows.
• Manage internal communications related to policies, programs, and organizational changes.
• Lead performance‑cycle operations, from setup to tracking and completion.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that deliver actionable People insights.
• Drive employee‑engagement initiatives, including surveys, analysis, and recommendations.
• Support recruiting operations when needed, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in HR Generalist, HRBP, or hybrid People Operations roles.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and basic employment‑law principles.
• Experience managing HR systems and People Operations workflows end‑to‑end.
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills with expert spreadsheet proficiency.
• Excellent written communication and documentation abilities.
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools in HR or People workflows.
• Proven ability to work with globally distributed teams across regions and employment models.
• Strong judgment, empathy, decisiveness, and high ownership.
