Senior Quality Engineer - Customer Liaison

About the role

Adient, a global leader in automotive seating with around 65,000 employees in 29 countries, is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer in Barcelona. The role acts as the interface between the customer JIT and Trim production plant, handling quality issues, improvement actions and customer-facing quality metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the link between the customer JIT and the Trim production plant
• Analyze JIT-side problems and give closed-loop feedback to the Trim plant
• Verify improvement actions at JIT plants and coordinate sorting activities there
• Support local Trim resident engineers with technical knowledge, organization setup and feedback loops
• Set up the boundary book between OEM, JIT and Trim plant
• Manage KPIs such as customer satisfaction JIT, IRPPM, ICPPM, firewall head count and JIT audits, including follow-up on improvement plans
• Carry out Inspector Gauge R&R evaluations and inspector training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification
• Proven experience in quality management within the automotive industry
• Experience in customer quality management and direct communication with OEMs and Tier 1 customers
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is an advantage
• Willingness to travel approximately 70%
