Senior SAP MDG EAM Functional Consultant

About the role

Fusion Consulting, a global Life Sciences business and IT consultancy, is looking for an experienced Senior SAP MDG EAM Functional Consultant based in Barcelona. The consultant leads the technical design, development, integration, migration and enhancement of SAP MDG EAM solutions across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture, design, development and implementation of SAP MDG EAM and Asset Information Workbench (AIW) solutions.
• Design and enhance data models, change request types, governance processes, workflows, validations, derivations, user interfaces and replication frameworks.
• Develop solutions for EAM master-data objects such as Functional Locations, Equipment, Maintenance Bills of Material, Task Lists, Measuring Points, Work Centres and Classification.
• Use ABAP, ABAP Objects, Web Dynpro ABAP, Floorplan Manager, BAdIs, enhancement frameworks and SAP MDG APIs, and configure rule-based validations with BRFplus.
• Configure MDG workflows, rule-based workflows, agent determination, parallel processing, escalation and approval routing.
• Integrate and replicate data using DRF, IDocs, web services, APIs, SAP Integration Suite and other middleware.
• Support data migration, mass processing and migration/remediation from ECC or MDG hub to S/4HANA.
• Lead technical activities from design and unit testing through UAT, cutover, hypercare and production support, and prepare technical specifications and test evidence.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, integration and migration teams, Basis teams and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10+ years of SAP consulting experience, including senior technical or solution-design roles.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP MDG EAM and AIW, and with EAM technical objects.
• Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA, including migration, upgrade or transformation programmes.
• Experience leading technical workstreams and coordinating onshore and offshore teams.
• Preferred: SAP MDG certification, SAP BTP or Integration Suite certification, and experience with S/4HANA co-deployed/hub models, Consolidation and Mass Processing, SAP Fiori and Clean Core.
