Senior Technical Product Manager - AI Innovation, Barcelona

About the role

Clarivate is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to join its AI Innovation Team in Barcelona, supporting Life Sciences & Healthcare (LS&H) products. The role sits within the central AI Innovation function, helping define, standardise and deliver AI capabilities across the portfolio. It is an internally facing role advising product managers and leading technical product areas such as the AI Platform, and works closely with product teams to embed AI into customer-facing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI strategy and innovation roadmap across the Life Sciences & Healthcare portfolio.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Data Science teams to design and deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
• Translate business challenges into AI opportunities, defining product requirements, success criteria and measurable impact.
• Help move validated ideas to production faster by working with delivery teams and promoting reusable service patterns.
• Drive consistency and quality in how AI capabilities are designed, standardised (e.g. MCP patterns) and exposed to customers.
• Oversee the evolution of the Clarivate AI Platform and LLM Playground, supporting experimentation.
• Define and implement observability, tracing and evaluation capabilities to support governance and responsible AI.
• Prioritise high-impact use cases with cross-functional stakeholders and support adoption of AI solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of product management experience in technology-driven environments, ideally with data products.
• Experience in Life Sciences with strong domain expertise.
• 5+ years building AI/ML or GenAI-driven products, with hands-on experience in LLMs and enterprise-grade AI features.
• Preferred: experience across R&D, MedTech and Commercial functions; MBA or Product Management certification; courses or certifications in AI, ML or GenAI tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of agentic workflows and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with core engineering or infrastructure concepts.

Working hours are core business hours in CET, with flexibility for global time zones, and the position is hybrid, in the office 2-3 days a week.
