Senior UX Designer, Provider Experience

About the role

Datavant is a data collaboration platform for healthcare, serving providers, health plans, researchers and life sciences companies. Its Provider Console is the unified provider-facing platform where providers onboard, manage requests and access tools. The company is looking for a Senior UX Designer to own the Provider Console experience end-to-end, making it a coherent platform and reducing the friction that leads to support tickets and delays.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall experience architecture of Provider Console, including navigation, terminology and interactions across its modules (Request Manager, Provider Exchange, HealthForms, Certification & Onboarding, Notifications)
• Resolve inconsistencies across independently evolved product surfaces and build a shared component library and pattern documentation
• Lead self-service design: map where providers call or email, design transparent real-time status, onboarding flows and proactive notifications, and design for progressive disclosure
• Conduct provider research, analyze support ticket data and call drivers, run usability testing, and shape roadmap priorities
• Work closely with the Provider Console PM, engineering and adjacent product teams, and with Solutions Consulting and Account Management teams

Required profile

• 5+ years of UX design experience with a portfolio showing platform thinking
• Experience designing multi-product platforms and designing for self-service
• Experience conducting and synthesizing user research, including with business stakeholders as proxies
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to articulate design strategy

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B SaaS platforms and provider-facing healthcare workflows (credentialing, billing, prior authorization, release of information)
• Experience with notification and alert systems
• Familiarity with Figma and FigJam, and comfort working with engineers in component-based front-end frameworks
