Senior UX/UI Designer

About the role

Exoticca, an online travel agency focused on long-distance dream trips, is looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer in Barcelona. The designer creates efficient, scalable and user-centred experiences for both internal platforms and customer-facing web products, with a strong focus on tools used by operational and business teams. The role works closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders to turn operational needs into intuitive, high-impact solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work with product managers, engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements and turn them into intuitive user experiences aligned with business goals.
• Run usability testing, interviews and data analysis (analytics, heatmaps) to understand user needs and improve workflows.
• Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs in Figma, ensuring scalability and consistency.
• Optimise interfaces for clarity, speed and accessibility (WCAG), especially in complex systems.
• Provide detailed design specifications, style guides, assets and clarifications to developers, and use the Design System to document and manage UI components.
• Take part in A/B testing and iterate designs based on qualitative and quantitative insights.

Required profile

• 4+ years of UX/UI design experience, including internal tools and customer-facing platforms such as dashboards and complex systems.
• A strong portfolio showing complex workflows, data-heavy interfaces or operational systems.
• Experience conducting end-to-end user research and usability testing.
• Proven experience in an agile environment, able to iterate quickly and prioritise in fast-paced settings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Figma and in using a Design System framework.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction design and design systems.
