Senior Workplace Consultant

About the role

JLL is hiring a Senior Workplace Consultant in Barcelona. The consultant develops strategic workplace briefs for small and large-scale workplace projects, turning data on the physical, cultural and technological aspects of a working environment into a concept, space budget and client brief that fits business drivers and workstyles. The role is hands-on and requires project and change management experience.

Key responsibilities

• Act as single point of contact for workplace strategy issues, linking client and project team
• Design and deliver visioning sessions, workshops and focus groups
• Carry out and analyse quantitative and qualitative research such as surveys and utilization studies
• Determine spatial requirements and develop the space budget, with knowledge of building codes and occupational standards
• Synthesize research from internal and external sources into a workplace brief
• Develop workplace guidelines and support workplace transformation change management

Required profile

• Practical hands-on experience profiling a business and developing a workplace strategy aligned to business needs
• Knowledge of or experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, agile/flexible activity-based design, space budgeting, test-fit oversight and workplace guideline development
• Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English
• Soft skills: stakeholder management, relationship building, leading client conversations and handling resistance to change
• Experience in business development, scoping, pricing, pitching and delivering projects

Required skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to turn large data sets into clear findings and to present analyses
• Ability to read, review and extract metrics from drawings; strong design/CAD skills are not essential
• Understanding of best practices and regulatory requirements around building occupancy
