Server / Infrastructure Engineer (Performance & Efficiency Test-Framework Engineer)

About the role

T-Systems Iberia is looking for a Server / Infrastructure Engineer (Performance & Efficiency Test-Framework Engineer) for its Telco Hub in Madrid. The project runs a specialized laboratory that performs performance and efficiency tests on server hardware used in the Private Telco Cloud, with the aim of validating new hardware types and optimising the cloud. The role is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and expand the hardware performance laboratory
• Prepare, operate and maintain server and measurement hardware
• Run standardised performance and efficiency benchmarks
• Integrate and validate new hardware types
• Analyse and document test results to support architecture and procurement decisions

Required profile

• Solid understanding of x86 server architectures and datacentre hardware
• Ability to interpret technical results and write concise reports
• Nice to have: GitLab, CI/CD, Jira and Business Agility

Required skills

• Benchmarking methods and performance analysis
• Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES)
• Basic automation and scripting (Bash, Ansible)
• Enterprise servers (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro), SPEC, Phoronix, Stress-NG, IPMI, Redfish
• OpenStack and Kubernetes
