Software Developer – Electronic Invoicing (Ruby on Rails)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Developer specialized in electronic invoicing to join our small, technically focused team. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of backend systems that power a B2B invoicing platform used across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain REST APIs for invoice processing, document exchange and third‑party integrations.
• Develop asynchronous processing pipelines using background jobs and queue systems.
• Integrate with external platforms, including national tax authorities and document exchange networks.
• Optimize database queries, ensure data consistency and manage concurrency in high‑throughput environments.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and backend architecture decisions.
• Support production operations: incident response, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, API specs and operational runbooks.

Required profile

• 4+ years of production experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong background in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with background‑job/queue systems and asynchronous workflows.
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience in performance tuning.
• Comfortable working with XML/XSLT and JSON formats.
• Proven ability to integrate third‑party services and external dependencies.
• Fluent English for technical documentation and standards.
