Software Engineer II – Payments Platform

About the role

Flywire is looking for a Software Engineer II to help build and scale the core platform that powers its global payments engine. The role is based in Valencia, Spain, with a hybrid work model, and is ideal for engineers with roughly two years of experience who want to deepen their technical foundation while delivering high‑impact payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and full‑stack components of the payments platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve payment speed, reliability, and client experience.
• Contribute to cloud‑based services on AWS and ensure scalability of distributed systems.
• Explore and integrate AI/LLM tools to enhance engineering productivity.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration pipelines.

Required profile

• Approximately 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and curiosity about modern development practices.
• Willingness to learn new languages and frameworks quickly.
• Interest in AI, large language models, and agentic development tools.
