Software/Database Developer (m/f/d)

About the role

T-Systems Iberia is looking for a Software/Database Developer to join an agile international team within Deutsche Telekom. The team designs, develops and maintains modern cloud-based data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on scalable data pipelines, SQL-based data models and data-driven business processes. The role works closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Solution Architects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and database solutions on GCP, and build efficient SQL code for data transformation and reporting.
• Build and optimize data models with dbt, develop and maintain ETL processes, and optimize database performance and query execution.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on GCP, use BigQuery as the main data platform, monitor data quality and support deployment and release activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Architects and Business Analysts, taking part in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives, reviewing code and improving engineering practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience in software development with a focus on database development.
• Excellent SQL programming skills and hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery.
• Knowledge of relational database design and data modeling, and experience developing ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum and/or SAFe).
• German language skills are an advantage.

• REST APIs and data integration concepts
• Nice to have: AI-assisted coding tools, AI/ML and generative AI knowledge, and telecommunications industry experience
