Software / Database Developer (m/f/d)

About the role

T-Systems Iberia is looking for a Software / Database Developer to join an agile international team that designs, develops and maintains modern cloud-based data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, developing SQL-based data models and supporting data-driven business processes, working closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Solution Architects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and database solutions on Google Cloud Platform
• Write efficient, maintainable SQL code for data transformation and reporting
• Build and optimise data models with dbt, and develop and maintain ETL processes
• Optimise database performance and queries, and perform unit and integration testing
• Develop cloud-native solutions with Google Cloud services, use BigQuery as the main data platform, monitor data quality and support deployments
• Collaborate in an international agile team with daily contact to experts in Germany and nearshore locations, taking part in sprints, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives

Required profile

• Strong experience in software development with a focus on database development
• Excellent SQL programming skills
• Knowledge of relational database design and data modelling, and experience developing ETL pipelines
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum and/or SAFe)
• German is an advantage

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery
• dbt (Data Build Tool) and Apache Airflow
• Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices
• REST APIs and data integration concepts
• Nice to have: AI-assisted coding tools, AI/ML and generative AI knowledge, telecommunications experience
