Solution Specialist - Automation (Molecular Labs)

About the role

Roche's GCS Mol Labs Solutions team, based in Sant Cugat (Spain) and Rotkreuz (Switzerland), is looking for a Solution Specialist with a strong Roche Automation background, Lab-Middleware experience and extensive customer experience. The specialist supports customers in automated molecular laboratories, mentors future solution specialists and works onsite or remotely with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle solution cases in automated molecular labs, combining technical knowledge with soft skills
• Design training concepts, create documentation and lead solution workshops for affiliate solution specialists, customer support specialists and key users
• Mentor Solution Specialists during their education phase and support them on complex cases and implementations
• Develop and maintain a learning path for Solution Specialists
• Build relationships across teams and contribute to a Network of Expertise through regular stakeholder meetings
• Integrate basic solution knowledge into existing molecular lab training programs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in health-related sciences, engineering, computer science or another technical/scientific field
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or extensive support to clinical laboratories, with on-site experience (mandatory)
• Fluent English and Spanish
• Open to frequent travel (up to 30%)
• Experience creating multimedia learning materials is a plus

Required skills

• Strong background in IT, automation or clinical laboratory operations (a plus)
• Troubleshooting network connectivity in laboratory environments (cobas link, Unified Gateway, Unified Services Connector, Fortigate, switches)
• Experience with pre- and post-analytical instruments, x800 Systems and multidisciplinary labs is a bonus
• Plus: data science and data mining, AI use for insights, and experience with cobas x800, cobas p x12, RDA/CCM and cobas prime
