About the role
The SSA DCM Analyst will join Santander Corporate & Investment Banking’s Debt Capital Markets team, supporting public‑sector clients in accessing global capital markets. Based in the Madrid area, the analyst works closely with teams across Europe and the United States to deliver tailored funding solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct coverage for Santander’s SSA issuance client base.
- Prepare and adapt marketing materials for debt offerings.
- Collaborate daily with DCM teams in Madrid, London and New York.
- Coordinate with Syndicate, Sales & Trading, Risk Solutions, Strategy and other global stakeholders.
- Analyse core markets (EUR, USD, GBP, LATAM) and present funding ideas to clients.
- Identify and recommend appropriate financing structures for public‑sector issuers.
Required profile
- University degree.
- Up to three years of experience covering European or global SSA clients.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is essential.
- Working knowledge of French and/or German is highly beneficial.
