SSR Java Spring Boot Developer

About the role

Talan, an international consulting group focused on innovation and business transformation through technology, is hiring a full-time SSR Java Spring Boot Developer. The role is designed for a 100% remote setup and involves building and maintaining backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, etc.)
• Implement and consume REST APIs
• Deploy and operate applications in OpenShift environments
• Collaborate with frontend teams using Angular to ensure seamless integration of services
• Take part in code reviews, unit testing and continuous integration activities
• Analyse incidents and propose improvements related to performance, scalability and security

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development with Java
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices-based architectures
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

Required skills

• Java, Spring Boot, REST API design and development
• Oracle and SQL
• Docker containers and OpenShift platforms
• Git version control
• Nice to have: Angular, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions), cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and Spark technologies (Databricks, Cloudera, AWS)
