Staff Accountant - LATAM

About the role

The Otte Polo Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support its accounting team across the LATAM region. The role will handle a variety of accounting functions, from vendor payments to month‑end close, ensuring accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record vendor invoices, verify coding and approvals, and prepare payments.
• Maintain vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile vendor accounts.
• Record and apply customer payments, keep customer account balances up to date.
• Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping, post journal entries, and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed‑asset accounting, and other adjustments.
• Support month‑end close procedures and ensure proper period posting.
• Help the Accounting Manager with financial reporting and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets.
