Staff Product Designer

About the role

As a Staff Product Designer at Preply, you will tackle complex, high‑impact product challenges, shaping vision and strategy while delivering exceptional, human‑led learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create product vision and strategy with Product and Engineering, bringing a strong design perspective.
• Own complex, end‑to‑end work from vision through to shipped experience, especially greenfield initiatives.
• Craft bold, differentiating interactions and visuals, pushing beyond the obvious to create distinctly Preply experiences.
• Coach and mentor other designers, influence cross‑team practices, and help raise design standards.

Required profile

• Staff, Lead, or equivalent experience in a mature product design organization working on consumer‑facing, mobile‑first products at scale.
• Proven track record of shaping product vision and strategy in partnership with Product and Engineering.
• Exceptional interaction and visual craft with strong product judgment and an experimental mindset.
• Demonstrated impact beyond personal work through coaching and raising the craft bar.
• Intentional approach to AI in design, understanding its value and limitations.

Required skills

• Experience designing mobile‑first consumer products.
• Strong interaction design and visual design capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate closely with product and engineering teams.
• Knowledge of AI‑enhanced design practices.
