Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack React+.NET)

About the role

Trimble is looking for a Staff Software Engineer (AI Native) in its single-threaded transportation team. You will help establish core architecture and engineering standards for AI-augmented development, and lead the technical direction of robust, cloud-native applications that optimize operations for the global supply chain. The role defines the architectural future of next-generation SaaS and cloud-native TMS solutions, mentors senior engineers and pioneers AI-native engineering methods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end technical strategy and architectural vision for scalable SaaS and cloud-native TMS applications across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Champion AI-native development workflows (e.g., Cursor, LLM integrations, automated code generation) across engineering teams, setting best practices, quality gates and review standards.
• Oversee high-throughput microservices and front-end architectures, ensuring resiliency, security, performance and seamless integration between React front ends and .NET back ends.
• Mentor Senior Engineers and cross-functional feature teams.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering Leadership and domain experts to turn transportation logistics challenges into scalable system designs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive full-stack software engineering experience, with a track record of architectural leadership for high-availability cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to influence architectural decisions across teams and work in international, multi-time-zone environments (Europe, Canada, India).
• Location: remote work in Spain, Italy, Estonia or the UK.

Required skills

• React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, state management and modern front-end patterns.
• C#.NET.NET Core and distributed RESTful microservices.
• Azure, SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development (Cursor, Copilot, custom LLM tools) and code review practices for AI-generated code.
