Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Technology & Digital Services

About the role

MiniMed is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for its Technology & Digital Services category. The role partners with Technology Category Managers, Digital Technology leadership and regional business stakeholders, and independently manages sourcing projects, supplier relationships and procurement initiatives. It supports Digital Technology teams across North America, Europe and other regions with commercial guidance, supplier recommendations, negotiation support and market intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing projects from intake through supplier selection, contract execution, implementation and onboarding, and run RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations and competitive sourcing events.
• Negotiate software agreements, SaaS subscriptions, cloud agreements, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, renewals and outsourcing contracts, and support supplier governance, performance management and risk management.
• Work with Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Finance, PMO, Quality and business stakeholders, and collaborate with Digital Technology, Information Security and business leaders on technology operations and digital enablement.
• Support TSA exit initiatives, supplier transitions, Day 2 country onboarding and business continuity.
• Contribute to procurement transformation, process improvement, governance and the adoption of procurement systems and digital sourcing tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across North America, Europe and other regions, including early morning or evening meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Finance, Operations or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, technology contracting or supplier management.
• Proven experience sourcing technology products and services such as software, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, telecommunications, outsourcing and consulting.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and working independently across regions and time zones.
• Strong verbal and written English, including negotiating with suppliers globally.
• Preferred: experience with TSA exits, supplier onboarding in new regions, procurement digitization, and knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2; occasional travel (10-15%).

Required skills

• Understanding of software licensing, SaaS commercial structures, cloud consumption and technology contracting.
• Project management, negotiation, analysis, communication and stakeholder management.
• Preferred: SAP, Ariba, Coupa, VNDLY, ServiceNow; experience in healthcare, medical devices or regulated industries.
