Strategy & Execution Principal – Energy & Utilities

About the role

Metyis is looking for a Strategy & Execution Principal to lead its Energy & Utilities practice in Barcelona. The role combines senior client engagement, strategic design, and hands‑on project delivery for large‑scale energy and utility organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage senior and C‑level client relationships to drive impactful change.
• Supervise complex, multi‑workstream projects from inception to delivery, ensuring quality and timeline adherence.
• Develop pragmatic strategies, data‑enabled hypotheses and value‑accretive business cases.
• Leverage deep Energy & Utilities expertise to frame strategic questions and guide change‑management initiatives.
• Translate advanced analyses into clear recommendations, presentations and decision‑making materials for senior stakeholders.
• Lead and coach project teams, providing on‑the‑job feedback and fostering professional growth.

Required profile

• 8–11 years of consulting experience, preferably within the Energy & Utilities sector.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior client executives.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering high‑impact projects.
• Based in Barcelona and able to work on‑site.
