Supply Chain Quality Manager – Avionic Systems

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Supply Chain Quality Manager for its TAOPOZ1 Avionic Systems team in Getafe, Madrid. The role ensures that suppliers meet quality, on‑time and cost targets, supporting the delivery of high‑quality aerospace products.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational interface with global suppliers, covering multiple functions and critical sub‑tiers.
• Assess supplier capacity, capability and performance during tendering and contribute to selection decisions.
• Manage supply‑chain and quality aspects of contracts to achieve On‑Time, On‑Quality, On‑Cost performance.
• Coordinate supplier quality approvals and certification compliance with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor new product introductions, Transfer of Work and changes to ensure industrial qualification before serial production.
• Identify supplier industrial risks, propose mitigation actions and lead short‑term recovery or improvement projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or related discipline.
• 2‑4 years of experience in procurement, quality, production, engineering or programme environments.
• Negotiation‑level proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
