Sustainable Banking Analyst (VIE) – Madrid

About the role

Credit Agricole CIB, the investment and financing bank of the Crédit Agricole group, is recruiting a Sustainable Banking Analyst for a 12-month VIE in Madrid, starting 1 January 2027. The candidate joins the Sustainable Banking team, which supports all business lines and the Coverage Department in originating and executing sustainable finance transactions such as ESG rating advisory, green and social bonds, sustainability-linked products and impact investment. Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with business lines and clients' senior bankers to identify and generate business opportunities.
• Define tailored solutions, pitch the full sustainable finance offering and monitor its commercialization.
• Structure and execute mandates together with the business lines.
• Maintain close relationships with market stakeholders such as ESG rating agencies, investors and other banking actors.
• Prepare client materials: pitches, benchmarks, ESG and climate data, project analyses for green, social or sustainability loans/bonds, KPIs and sustainability targets.
• Contribute to advisory and structuring: frameworks, second-party opinions, investor presentations and impact reports.
• Analyse market developments such as ESG methodologies, climate scenarios and the evolution of green and sustainability-linked bonds and loans markets.

Required profile

• Under 28 years old.
• Master's degree from a business school or university, with a specialization in Sustainability, Banking or Finance.
• First experience in Sustainable Banking or in a Corporate and Investment bank.
• EU citizenship (except Spanish).

Required skills

• Strong interest in sustainable finance and/or environment and climate topics.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Fluent French and English; fluent or intermediate Spanish.
• Communication, analysis and summarization, rigor, organization and results orientation.
