System Lead - Data Migration & Data Management

About the role

Fusion Consulting, a global Life Sciences business and IT consultancy, is looking for an experienced System Lead for Data Migration and Data Management. The role provides technical leadership across global transformation programs, defining and governing data migration strategies, architectures and solutions for large-scale ERP implementations, acquisitions, divestitures and enterprise system transformations. It is a full-time position based in Madrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data migration strategy, architecture and solution design, and define migration frameworks, standards and best practices.
• Oversee data discovery, assessment, mapping, transformation and validation activities.
• Drive data architecture decisions and define migration waves, cutover plans, rollback strategies and go-live readiness criteria.
• Review and approve migration designs, validation processes and reconciliation approaches.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Application Owners, Integration, Security and Data Governance teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project teams and migration specialists.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading enterprise data migration and data management initiatives.
• Strong understanding of ERP data migration processes and system transformation projects.
• Knowledge of SAP architecture and integration landscapes.
• Understanding of network infrastructure concepts.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Preferred: Life Sciences, pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience, and experience supporting acquisitions, divestitures and large-scale transformation programs.

Required skills

• Cloud-based ETL architecture, preferably AWS.
• Manual and automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of CSV/CSA, GxP and regulated system validation environments.
• Preferred: AWS certifications or cloud architecture experience.
