Technical Account Manager

About the role

Broadridge is looking for a Technical Account Manager to join its Customer Success team in Madrid. The role covers the implementation, ongoing support and growth of a diverse set of client trading systems, working closely with engineers and product managers on technical troubleshooting and functional requirements. It suits someone who enjoys travel, as there are frequent interactions with colleagues across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to help them implement and use functionality, such as setting up a solution to quote on a market, volatility surfaces and algo trading solutions.
• Troubleshoot systems with users and liaise with the engineering team on issues requiring code changes.
• Partner with IT staff at client sites to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Support the sales team with new deliveries and new clients.
• Collaborate with exchanges on new functionality and market upgrades.
• Visit client sites to understand usage challenges and identify expansion opportunities.
• Act as the interface between end-users and the engineering team, collecting, analysing and prioritising issue reports and feature suggestions.
• Help prepare Business Review presentations and deliver solutions or bug fixes.
• Look for ways to improve processes through technology, AI and automation.

Required profile

• Around 5 years of experience in a client-facing role in financial services, preferably supporting trading platforms for principal or agency flows.
• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Engineering; an economic or financial degree is also accepted.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish; another language is a plus.
• Comfortable in customer-facing situations and in a support role, handling calls and emails from customers, sometimes under pressure.
• Ability to work constructively with colleagues across the organisation.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Linux system administration, preferably hands-on.
• Plus: knowledge of Java, C++, Perl, Bash or Python scripting.
• Plus: interest in network routing, diagnostics and transport protocols (TCP, UDP, packet capture, network latency).
