Technical Business Partner (Quotient AI Specialist)

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, is hiring a Senior Technical Business Partner (Quotient AI Specialist) in Madrid. The role sits at the intersection of consulting and engineering, turning business needs into technical direction and helping the WAVE team turn one-off efforts into reusable assets, platforms and solutions. It suits someone comfortable discussing technical architecture, AI delivery and commercial opportunity.

Key responsibilities

• Turn incoming demand into technically sound, commercially relevant outputs that strengthen go-to-market efforts in Banking & Financial Services in Europe and across practices in Iberia, the UK and South East Europe.
• Translate consulting needs into clear technical solution designs that the engineering team can execute.
• Shape technical direction from the outset so ideas are feasible, scalable and aligned with the business problem.
• Orchestrate engineers across the backlog, deciding who works on what and when to keep work moving and protect time-to-money.
• Work with the Business Analyst to turn demand into prioritised work, technical design and delivery action.
• Recommend infrastructure set-up and go-to-market angles for business development opportunities.
• Identify what should become a reusable asset, platform or product and help drive that transition with delivery teams and external partners.
• Join client and partner discussions where technical credibility must be demonstrated and technical options explained clearly.
• Pack WAVE's work so it can be reused, scaled and sold again, keeping a practical view of the trade-offs between speed, quality, reuse and commercial value.

Required profile

• Senior-level experience spanning business and technical delivery, ideally combining consulting, solution design and engineering coordination.
• Track record of turning ambiguous business problems into deployed technical solutions.
• Experience orchestrating or leading technical teams in a fast-moving, high-variety environment.
• Ability to communicate with executive audiences and engineering teams.
• Full professional English; Spanish strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong grasp of modern AI, including agents and LLM applications, and of making solutions scalable and reusable.
• Strong commercial judgement, connecting technical choices to business value.
• Preferred: consulting background with hands-on technical delivery, familiarity with productization and asset-based or as-a-service models, and experience with reusable assets, platforms or accelerators.
