Technical Product Manager - Web & CTV Streaming

About the role

Rakuten TV, a video streaming platform backed by Rakuten Group, is looking for a Product Manager to lead the evolution of its web and Connected TV (CTV) applications. The role acts as a bridge between design, engineering and business teams, owning the product roadmap and translating requirements into clear documentation while using AI tools to streamline daily product management.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse feedback from users, market trends and internal teams.
• Identify and propose new features that improve the streaming experience across web and CTV browsers.
• Write detailed, prioritized product requirements (PRDs) with clear context and rationale for the engineering team.
• Work closely with frontend engineers on UI/UX constraints, performance challenges and device compatibility.
• Monitor feature progress, coordinate releases and define metrics for user engagement and app performance.
• Use AI tools to draft documentation, summarise feedback and streamline workflows.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years).
• Solid understanding of web applications and frontend concepts, including UI/UX trade-offs and cross-browser delivery.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset for prioritising the roadmap.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• SCRUM and Agile methodologies.
• Proven comfort using AI tools to increase productivity.
