Test Engineer - Motorcycle Powertrain and Emissions Testing

About the role

Applus IDIADA, a global leader in automotive engineering, is looking for a test engineer in its Powertrain Department's Emissions, Fuel Economy, Energy Consumption and Range team, based in Tarragona. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role covers complete vehicle testing for emissions, fuel and energy consumption, mainly under Japanese, European and USA requirements for ICE, PHEV, HEV and EV technologies, with a special focus on motorcycles (L-category vehicles).

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with emission and energy consumption testing projects.
• Schedule and organize emissions testing projects and manage them.
• Prepare quotations for customers and present commercial and project proposals.
• Check, validate and report on emission testing projects.
• Follow up and control projects and revise technical requirements.
• Organize the activities of technicians and mechanics in the emissions laboratory.

Required profile

• Degree in industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering (MSc valued); other engineering degrees or a master's degree may be acceptable depending on competences and experience.
• Previous experience in emissions measurement, testing and project management is valuable.
• High level of English; German is an advantage.
