Testability Engineer - Transport Programs

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a Testability Engineer for its Transport Programs in Getafe. Testability is a core process of Support Engineering and Integrated Logistic Support, fully integrated with design, development and verification. Its main role is to take part in development activities so that designs meet service requirements and achieve the required maturity.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and agree with the Design Office and suppliers the testability requirements and make sure they are implemented in the design.
• Perform or assess testability analysis and produce or assess engineering design documentation (FMECA, failure catalogue, BIT BITE detailed description document, RAMT report).
• Attend design reviews with the Design Office and customers, and represent the testability discipline in multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Link with Design Offices (concurrent engineering) and suppliers on testability issues, including requirements and deliverables.
• Support verification activities such as laboratory tests, flight-test analysis and in-service analysis.
• Support other customer services areas (ILS, technical publications, materiel services) and maintain testability data in logistics databases.
• Support offer preparation and conduct technical investigations to find the root cause of in-service problems and recommend cost-effective corrective actions.
• Help answer customer queries on testability issues.

Required profile

• Engineer degree or equivalent (master's level or similar).
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Team player able to coordinate in person and remotely.
