Tooling Development Engineer - Fuselage S19 Industrial Tooling & Robotics

About the role

A temporary Tooling Development Engineer position is open at Airbus Operations Getafe (Madrid), within the Manufacturing Engineering organisation of the Airbus Getafe Plant. The plant specialises in the structural assembly and equipping of HTPs for the A320, A330 and A350 families and the S19 fuselage of the A350, in an automated and robotic manner, and is also a specialist in dry carbon fibre manufacturing. The role covers the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of industrial means.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead end-to-end industrialisation of new industrial means, following processes FU.IN.03.02, FU.IN.03.03 and FU.IN.03.06 and their linked processes
• Act as technical responsible for the implemented solutions, supporting Maintenance and Production and ensuring safety, ergonomics and maintainability
• Support programme activities for industrial means parts, including master and detailed planning, proposals, CapEx and budgets
• Create concepts and technical specifications, using CAD (CATIA v5) and GD&T analysis, and define concepts and modifications
• Lead call for tenders, evaluate and select suppliers, and manage milestones (KOM, PDR, CDR, CISS, CIPS, THO) and supplier OT, OQ, OC delivery
• Steer troubleshooting and failure analysis, set up and commission manufacturing/assembly stations, attend concurrence engineering meetings and support the shop floor on first use

Required profile

• Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering
• Advanced English
• High adaptability to new topics, new business and networking
• Nice to have: automotive experience or a master's degree
