Tooling Development & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Join Airbus Helicopters in Albacete as a Tooling Development & Maintenance Engineer. You will be at the core of our industrial transformation, shaping the design, acquisition, and upkeep of jigs and tools that directly impact our VTOL products.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical specifications and acquire jigs & tools in collaboration with multi‑functional teams.
• Integrate health & safety and ergonomic considerations into all tooling definitions and participate in safety forums.
• Validate, monitor, and continuously improve the maintenance plan, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and maximizing asset availability.
• Lead corrective maintenance actions and act as the Airbus technical reference for external tooling suppliers.
• Contribute to the innovation incubator, exploring AI, digital manufacturing, and data analytics for tooling improvements.

Required profile

• University degree with a strong background in jigs & tools or industrial maintenance.
• Proficiency in CATIA; knowledge of SAP4HANA, automation, metrology, and project management is desirable.
• Experience in design for manufacturing, design to maintain, tooling processes, tolerance analysis, and supplier management.
• Understanding of applicable CE directives, H&S, and ergonomics principles.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; French or German is a plus.
• Proactive, curious, rigorous, and a recognized team player.
