Underwriting Analyst (Hybrid)

About the role

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is looking for an Underwriting Analyst (Assistant) in its CorSo Operations team in Madrid. The role sits at the heart of international insurance operations, linking underwriting teams, clients, brokers and global network partners, and ensures policy administration and service delivery for International Insurance Programs, with a focus on the Spanish market. It is a hybrid position with at least three days in the office per week.

Key responsibilities

• Drive implementation activities for international programs, ensuring quality and consistency at every stage
• Coordinate policy and invoice issuance through IT tools, handling producing and local office duties
• Manage pre-quote and pre-bind processes, service exceptions and endorsements between producing offices, local offices and network partners
• Monitor and report on program performance, spotting bottlenecks early and keeping service levels within agreed tolerances
• Work with Technical Accounting teams on cash positions and with Claims teams on timely information exchange with clients
• Serve as a trusted contact for external customers such as brokers and insureds
• Maintain accurate records, prepare policies, certificates, invoices, endorsements and other contractual documents
• Carry out initial deal analysis, prepare account data including tax calculations, and follow up on outstanding premiums
• Verify data against source documents, contribute to standard operating procedures and support testing and piloting of system changes

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Solid understanding of the Spanish insurance market and multinational program business
• Knowledge of Spanish property insurance and insurance accounting principles
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Nice to have: other European languages, further education or qualifications in insurance, finance or a related field, experience with policy administration or underwriting support tools, and a proven attention to detail

What we offer

• Base salary range of EUR 38,000 to EUR 64,000 for a full-time role, depending on profile and requirements
• Possible performance-based annual bonus
