Veterinary Internship (February/March 2027)

About the role

Nestlé Purina is looking for a veterinary student to join its Purina European Team as a 6-month internship starting in February/March 2027 in Barcelona. You will support the scientific substantiation of product ranges, especially PPVD (Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets) Pro Plan Supplements and Purina Pro Plan, and contribute to the broader NPPE brand portfolio. You will work closely with the Science & Nutrition Managers and the Veterinary Affairs Manager so that product communications are backed by solid scientific evidence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the scientific substantiation of product ranges, including PPVD, Pro Plan Supplements and Purina Pro Plan.
• Contribute to the broader NPPE brand portfolio.
• Provide accurate, credible and engaging nutritional and product science content for marketing, communications and brand positioning.
• Work within a European team organised by condition type, gaining hands-on experience of how product science drives innovation and trust.

Required profile

• Veterinary student enrolled in a degree or master's programme throughout the 6-month internship.
• Have the credits needed for a curricular or extracurricular 6-month internship; only university alumni are accepted.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish (Catalan is a plus).
• Flexible, autonomous and precise, able to meet strict deadlines and give and receive feedback.

Required skills

• Good communication skills.
• Digital skills: PowerPoint, Word and Excel as a minimum.
