Vice President – Structured Credit Trading (CIB)

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking a Vice President to join its Global Markets Credit Trading franchise. Based in Madrid (or London), you will work on structured credit and hybrid products, contributing to the growth of a fast‑moving trading business.

Key responsibilities

• Price, execute and hedge structured credit and hybrid transactions, including repacks and credit‑linked notes.
• Dynamic risk management of trading positions.
• Train and mentor junior members of the trading team.
• Maintain, improve and develop trading monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with quants, structurers and control functions on new product development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in credit, hybrids, structured rates or XVA trading/structuring/quant roles.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Economics or Statistics.
• Fluent English; Spanish or another European language is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and an entrepreneurial, delivery‑oriented mindset.

• Familiarity with AI‑augmented coding tools (preferred).
