Virtualization Platform Architect (Automation · IaC · Multi-Hypervisor)

About the role

T-Systems Iberia is looking for a Virtualization Platform Architect with strong experience in enterprise virtualization, automation and multi-hypervisor environments. The role covers designing target architectures, automating provisioning and lifecycle management with Infrastructure as Code, and leading the evaluation and adoption of alternative virtualization platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design target architectures and reference blueprints.
• Automate provisioning and lifecycle with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and pipelines.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of alternative virtualization platforms (KVM, OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix AHV).
• Define standards and technical documentation for operations teams.
• Act as technical reference in projects, migrations and architecture decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years in enterprise virtualization with real design and automation experience.
• Architecture-level knowledge of VMware vSphere and software-defined environments (vSAN, NSX).
• Experience with at least one alternative hypervisor (KVM, OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix AHV).
• Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), CI/CD, observability and ITIL 4.
• VMware, Red Hat (OpenShift) or Nutanix certification.
• Spanish and English at professional level.

Required skills

• Ansible, Terraform, Python or PowerShell (PowerCLI) plus Git
• VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX and VMware Cloud Foundation
• CI/CD pipelines and observability tools
