Workplace Endpoint Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for an experienced Workplace Endpoint Engineer to join its Digital Workplace team in Madrid. You will be the expert for the traditional endpoint management infrastructure, owning and evolving the SCCM environment, Windows 11 deployment strategies, OSD task sequences and enterprise imaging, while also contributing to the move toward cloud-native management with Microsoft Intune, Azure AD / Entra ID and modern security tooling. The role supports the endpoint estate of over 17,000 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage enterprise endpoint solutions with Microsoft SCCM (site administration, software distribution, patch management, client health).
• Build and maintain OSD task sequences for Windows 11 bare metal imaging, in-place upgrades, driver management and WIM customisation.
• Own the Windows 11 lifecycle, including compatibility assessment, feature update planning and phased rollouts.
• Manage software packaging and deployment, including application creation, detection methods and deployment targeting.
• Administer SCCM infrastructure (site servers, distribution points, management points, boundaries).
• Act as L3 escalation point for complex endpoint incidents, applying ITSM best practices such as ITIL.
• Implement endpoint security with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access and Zero Trust principles.
• Create PowerShell scripts, including automation via Microsoft Graph API, and maintain documentation of configurations and processes.
• Collaborate with the agile Endpoints team and champion Swiss Re's risk culture.

Required profile

• Hands-on endpoint engineering specialist with structured thinking, attention to detail and ownership.
• Familiarity with ITSM best practices and agile environments.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating with colleagues.
• University degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science or a related field.

The company has a hybrid model with at least three days in the office per week, and accepts only English CVs. The base salary range for Spain is EUR 42,000 to EUR 70,000, depending on profile and experience; a performance-based bonus may also apply.
