Zonal & Wiring Military Maintenance Programs Engineer

About the role

Airbus DS Maintenance Programs Department ensures airworthiness authority approval of the scheduled maintenance requirements for A400M, A330 MRTT and C-295 aircraft, using the MRB process and the MSG-3 methodology. The role performs zonal, EWIS and L/HIRF MSG-3 analyses, presents them to operators and authorities, and supports customers on scheduled maintenance requirements. It is based in Getafe with occasional travel to other Airbus DS and customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform zonal, EWIS and L/HIRF MSG-3 analyses to identify scheduled maintenance requirements for A400M, A330 MRTT/FSTA, C-295 and other aircraft, and present them to operators and authorities (mainly EASA and INTA/CQC)
• Provide technical support to customers on scheduled maintenance requirements, with special attention to ASAC Services
• Collaborate across Maintenance Programs disciplines (Systems, Structure, Zonal, MPD) and with other Services, Engineering and Manufacturing areas
• Produce Maintenance Planning Documents and analyse design changes, SBs, OITs and AOTs for their impact on MSG-3 analyses, MRBR and MPD
• Analyse in-service customer maintenance inspection reports for interval evolution and escalation exercises for the MRBR
• Develop solutions and customise operator maintenance programs, optimise task intervals and support technical queries
• Coordinate subcontracted activities and contribute to Smartforces and innovation/digitalisation projects on maintenance planning

Required profile

• Engineering degree
• Negotiation-level English
• Knowledge of aircraft wiring, EWIS and L/HIRF protection, and of Maintenance Planning Documents and CAMO, highly recommended
• Knowledge of aircraft configuration management, software programming and data analysis tools, and of aircraft maintenance, highly recommended
• Good presentation, coordination and relational skills, and ability to cope with a demanding environment
