Front Office Receptionist – Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Front Office Receptionist to join our new seaside hotel in Paguera, Mallorca. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth check‑in and check‑out experience while supporting the Front Office Manager in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, verify payments, and update guest profiles during check‑in and check‑out.
• Handle reservations received online or by phone, assign rooms, and manage room inventory.
• Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and coordinate with other departments.
• Process cash, banking, and payment procedures in line with hotel policies.
• Assist the Front Office Manager with upselling techniques to maximize occupancy.
• Guide and support other reception staff to ensure seamless front desk operations.
• Address guest complaints promptly and arrange transport or additional services as requested.
• Maintain accurate records of room categories, rates, promotions, and market trends.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer‑focused hospitality role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in team management and delegation.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in handling reservations, cash transactions, and payment processing.
• Ability to use hotel front‑desk software and telephone systems.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
