Project Engineer – French Speaker (Spain)

About the role

GEA is seeking a Project Engineer who is fluent in French, Spanish and English to join its engineering team in Spain. You will work on cutting‑edge production lines for the food, chemical, dairy and beverage sectors, contributing to sustainable and innovative solutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define, calculate and design mechanical and process systems for new production lines.
• Prepare technical documentation, equipment specifications, procurement files and project reports.
• Perform calculations for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipeline sizing, utilities and instrumentation selection.
• Oversee 3D design models, pre‑assemblies and installation layouts to ensure precision.
• Generate equipment purchase tenders and material lists, and lead on‑site assembly, quality control and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, risk assessments and company QHSE standards.
• Coordinate with clients, internal teams and subcontractors to guarantee smooth project execution.
• Support sales reporting, KPI tracking and contribute to sustainability initiatives such as carbon capture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical Engineering or Food Technology.
• Experience in chemical, dairy, food or beverage industries is highly desirable.
• Fluent in Spanish, English and French (mandatory).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a commitment to safety culture.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on‑site worldwide.
