Team Lead, Engineering

About the role

Deel is looking for a Team Lead, Engineering to head a cross‑functional team of 6‑10 engineers. The role blends hands‑on development with technical leadership, driving high‑quality, scalable solutions for Deel’s global payroll and HR platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, balancing 50 % leadership and 50 % coding.
• Design, develop and deliver scalable applications using Node.js.
• Mentor team members, fostering technical growth and best‑practice adoption.
• Collaborate with product, design and other engineering squads to ensure delivery of exceptional user experiences.
• Maintain code quality, testing standards and continuous integration pipelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast‑paced, SaaS environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a track record of delivering production‑grade software.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
