Airframe Design Engineer Graduate Internship

About the role

Join Airbus for an 11‑month graduate internship focused on airframe design engineering. You will combine a master‑level training program with hands‑on experience in a leading helicopter manufacturer, working full‑time (40 h/week) on real aeronautical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Support digital transformation by digitalising design tools and exploring AI‑driven solutions.
• Conduct normative and procedure reviews, becoming familiar with helicopter certification standards.
• Analyse existing concepts and emerging technologies to identify innovation opportunities.
• Develop and evaluate technical design solutions for airframe structural integrity and systems integration.
• Perform detailed 3D modelling and assembly creation using CATIA V5.
• Prepare technical presentations, design‑review documentation, and certification reports.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (BSc/MSc) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Curious, responsible and committed individual willing to challenge the status‑quo.
• Strong interest in digitalisation, AI concepts and aerospace standards.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CATIA V5 (3D CAD).
