Design & Documentation Engineer – Brake Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Design & Documentation Engineer for brake systems to join our Getafe, Madrid team. You will manage ongoing and upcoming projects, covering design, documentation, risk analysis, new developments and workshop tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and re‑engineer brake components (metal, rubber, springs, etc.) using Autodesk Inventor.
• Define standard and commercial materials according to relevant norms.
• Create special tools for assembly and disassembly of brake elements.
• Interpret manufacturer technical documentation and analyse pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Produce risk analysis documents, technical instructions, overhaul manuals and other documentation.
• Perform dismounting and mounting of brake devices, alone or with an operator.
• Prepare monthly project status reports.
• Generate mechanical drawings, schematics, bills of materials and perform calculations/simulations to validate designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and ensure compliance with change and configuration management processes.
• Contribute to Return on Experience (REX) capture and dissemination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial, Design, Chemical or Materials Engineering.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and re‑engineering processes.
• Background working with rubber parts, material definition and selection.
• Knowledge of validation and risk analysis processes.
