EMC & Electrical Engineer – Space Systems

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an EMC and Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Systems Spain Department (TSEOE7) in Getafe. You will work in a multi‑disciplinary team to specify, analyse and test satellite platforms and payloads from an electronic and EMC perspective, supporting programmes in telecommunications, Earth observation, science and navigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all technical aspects of EMC under the System Architect, covering platforms, payloads and instruments.
• Develop and maintain EMC requirement specifications, budgets, frequency analyses and control plans.
• Review supplier hardware designs and PCB layouts, providing EMC‑related guidance and solutions.
• Define verification and validation strategies, write test specifications and keep verification documentation up to date.
• Support Procurement and Quality teams with technical follow‑ups, risk assessments and anomaly investigations for non‑recurring builds.
• Collaborate with AIT, thermal, mechanical and harness engineering throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience on space projects, power electronics and EMC design, analysis, development and testing.
• Strong teamwork skills in multi‑disciplinary, multicultural environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
