Flight Line & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a Flight Line & Maintenance Engineer to join its Flight Line Centre in Getafe, Madrid. The role works on a double‑shift basis and is responsible for delivering and maintaining A330 MRTT aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Implement A330 MRTT delivery, line and base maintenance activities within the assigned aircraft perimeter.
• Lead a multifunctional team (production, quality, engineering, planning, supply chain) and manage resources such as tooling, GSE and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with other organisations, subcontractors and ensure safety, security and compliance.
• Execute mid‑term and short‑term planning, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Evaluate Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and maintain quality, health‑and‑safety, FOD and housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2‑5 years of experience in operations and team management within aerospace maintenance.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, engineering processes and business practices.
• Commitment to innovation, digitalisation and continuous improvement.
