IT Operations Specialist – High Performance Computing

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an IT Operations Specialist focused on High Performance Computing (HPC) to join its Digital Campus in Albacete, Spain. You will support the HPC infrastructure that enables more than 400 simulation engineers to run aircraft simulations and predictive applications.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the availability, robustness and performance of multiple HPC clusters, maintaining servers, middleware, network and storage in line with OLA/SLAs.
• Execute support processes including incident, problem, change, configuration and event management.
• Analyse error reports, diagnose issues and implement corrective actions, coordinating with technical teams and vendors.
• Coordinate updates of HPC components, LSF scheduler configuration and deployed predictive solvers.
• Communicate with end‑users, Digital teams, vendors, subcontractors, management and other Airbus divisions.

Required profile

• Technical specialist with experience in managing HPC cluster infrastructure in an industrial environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude towards reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster management.
• LSF scheduler configuration and maintenance.
• Linux operating system administration.
